Do you know how many boyfriends I have? All of them...

Madison Rock, Journalist

Madison Rock, a 16-year old Sophomore at West Anchorage High School, loves to write. Due to her interest in writing, Rock joined the Journalism Program at West. However, writing is not her only interest. Rock is also cheerleader, and her cheer community “feels like a family.” Rock’s other passion is snowboarding. “I like adrenaline and stuff like that,” Rock says. However, snowboarding has proven to be dangerous for Rock, as a recent injury has prohibited her from snowboarding the most recent winter. Rock is also interested in music, specifically songs by Ed Sheeran. Rock says that he puts a lot of heart into his songs, and it’s obvious that Sheeran truly cares about his music.

In life, Rock aspires to be a criminal profiler for the Federal Bureau of Investigations. For the past 6 years, Rock has been captivated in psychology due to therapy appointments when she was young. “I’ve been really interested in psychology and how the human brain works. How we can use knowledge about the human brain to solve crimes,” Rock says. In order to satisfy her need for psychological justice, Rock frequently watches Criminal Minds, Bones, Psych, and Monk.
