Jashua Tomihara is a junior at West Anchorage High School, he was born in Denver Colorado, on March 14th, 2000.
He was raised in Oahu, Honolulu in Hawaii, he just moved to Anchorage about a year ago. In Hawaii, Tomihara liked to go to the beach to bodyboard. In Anchorage he likes to hang out with friends and family a lot, and they motivate him to do good in school because his family wants to see him get his diploma so he can move forward in life to better himself.
He wants to be a Music Video Producer so he can direct the videos, make sure the camera person does their jobs, and he’d like to meet celebrities to be able to meet them. His favorite football team is the Denver Broncos, and favorite basketball team is The New York Knicks but his favorite player is Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans.
He likes to listen to rap music a lot, his favorite rapper of all time is Eminem, but he also likes to listen to rap group Migos, Kendrick Lamar, and Futuristic. “Journalism just helps me keep up with my grammar and better those skills”, Tomihara said. Tomihara’s dream college was the University of Hawaii, but he says that it doesn’t matter as long as he goes to get his education for something he can do for his life.
