Eagle's Cry

Hunter Robertson, Reporter

Hunter Robertson is a senior at West finishing up his last semester of high school. He lives a very average life as a highschooler with the exception of being very dedicated to his sport. His life mostly revolves around hockey, but Hunter also enjoys hanging out with friends and watching t.v.

He has been a goalie for the varsity hockey team for two years now. He chose to be a goalie when he realized that his skating ability wasn’t great. Being a goalie was the perfect fit as it requires the least amount of skating. He enjoys playing and being on the team and thinks they have great potential. He believes that they have a great chance at winning State because of the great team chemistry they have along with the best coach in the state. After high school he has no plans of playing at the next level, but he does wish to play in an adult league.

Playing hockey all began when his friend Dawson Ellingsworth took him out to skate and play. Since then he fell in love with the game  all thanks to his friend. Although, over this winter break, all of his friends were gone because of tournaments they had in Canada. He does have three siblings that could’ve kept him company but he isn’t all that close with any of them or ever hangout.

So when Hunter has nothing to do, which is a lot of the time, he watches mostly sports on t.v. NHL hockey is definitely his most watched thing. His favorite team happens to be the New York Rangers. He looks up to their All-star goalie Henrik Lundqvist. It’s a dream of his to catch an outdoor stadium series game in person, preferably the Rangers. When he’s not watching hockey, he is watching football. His favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and he was very disappointed after they lost last weekend in the playoffs. Although he did understand it was a tough game as they were missing their best player, Leveon Bell, due to a knee injury.

As you can tell his life very much revolves around hockey. He loves the sport and wishes to enjoy it for the rest of his life and share it with the people around him.
